While verbs are the movers and shakers of our sentences, nominals are the moved and the shaken. These important words fill in the details surrounding our verbs. We may define a nominal as a word that names an entity. I’ve chosen here to speak of nominals rather than nouns since Greek pronouns, adjectives, and even articles can fill this role.
